Welcome to both of you! I amazes me that we had an obligation to go to Haiti, Bosnia, and Somalia under a dem, but our security and that of Israel is negotiable.

I'm back! Scary huh?

TJ made that quote in a different time, under different circumstances after a very different war was fought.

He was also quoted 19 years later:

"War has been avoided from a due sense of the miseries, and the demoralization it produces, and of the superior blessings of a state of peace and friendship with all mankind."

--Thomas Jefferson - 1809

Just something to think about.

Why would I be scared? You are morally oppsed to violence :-).

Welcome back! I trust the Ohio trip went well? Wasn't it a wedding? Funeral? Oh, sorry, same thing.

Totally unrelated, although I could relate it, but I won't. Sunday nights at 900 pm CST, there has been a series called "Revolution." The Battle of Yorktown was won last night, so if there are more in the series then there won't be many.

You can buy them on DVD. I thought this was excellent, and shows the hardships and defeats of the Revolution. If you can record it on re-runs, I recommend it. It is addictive.
